I think it is just an age thing but you could definitely achieve that in the darkroom if you were able to develop your own colour prints. You have to manually set the colour balance anyways… Access is the issue I guess.

They`re so pretty! I want my film to turn out like this!
Can anyone photographically-inclined explain why the film might have turned pink? I’m assuming it’s just expired film where the chemicals have gone wonky, but maybe there’s a way to imitate the effect with filters?
