Breakfast and then the library. The selection was limited to mostly paperback mysteries and romance novels (I suppose this is a seaside suburb), but I sifted through and found a bit of contemporary fiction in there, basing my choices mostly on the cover art and author quotes on the back (“Dave Eggers thinks this one’s important”).
I’ve been reading all non-fiction this year, so I’m happy to be branching out again with Song For Night by Chris Abani, The Third Brother by Nick NcDonell, and then a book about astronomy in the southern hemisphere (I wanna learn about the constellations here). The book on top is the kick-ass 2010 pocket agenda* I got from Conor’s parents’ shop that I wanted to show you because it’s kick-ass.
*They call them diaries here, but of course this is not a diary, it’s an AGENDA for keeping track of all my very important meetings and appointments.
